YORKSHIRE WATER STAY LOCAL

Yorkshire Water, one of the U.K's largest utility companies, has, after an exhaustive tendering process, involving some of the largest manufacturers in the industry, chosen TCL Transport Engineers Ltd to supply their tanker requirements for the next 3 years.

The contract for both rigid and articulated vacuum tankers was awarded, according to Michael Smith - Capital Controller with Yorkshire Water, on the basis of the high level of service TCL have provided over the past 10 years & the excellent reports from Yorkshire Water's drivers over the last two years operating tankers hired from TCL.

The first tankers will be delivered in March 2008.

KELDA plc CHOOSE TCL

kedla plc, who operate, on a third party basis, the waste movements for Dwr Cymru (Welsh Water), have chosen TCL to supply their next fleet replacement.

The order is for 6 tankers, (5 rigids & 1 artic), and supply will commence in January 2008.

BKP Group take delivery of new dual-purpose Industrial Waste / Crude Oil tanker

BKP Group, based in Romsey have recently taken delivery of the first of 2 new tankers built and leased to them by TCL.

The tankers are unusual in that they have a dual-purpose application. BKP's operation includes both crude oil movements and general industrial waste collection. The crude application requires atmospheric vessels as light as possible, where the waste application requires vacuum operation.

To provide the best of both worlds, TCL has developed these tankers with seperate outlet systems for oil and waste, as the Todo connections for crude oil are not suitable for the waste application.

In addition, we have mounted the exhauster & engine on an easily removeable skid, which will reduce tare weight by 1,000kg when the tanker is on Crude work.

The vessel has a mirror polished finish which, according to Steve Ward of BKP, "will serve to break away from the 'dirty' image often portraid of the waste industry".
